A public adjuster is licensed by the Illinois Department of Insurance to represent the policyholder, not the insurance company, in a property claim. We read your policy in full, including the endorsements and exclusions most people never open. We inspect the property, photograph and measure the damage, and write a line-item scope of the loss in Xactimate, the same estimating software your carrier's adjuster uses. Then we present that scope to your insurance company and handle the back and forth with their adjuster, so you are not the one on the phone explaining your own roof.
We do not repair anything and we do not arrange repairs. Who fixes your property, and when, is your decision. Our fee is a percentage of what your policy pays; we put it in writing before we start. If there is no recovery, there is no fee.
